2009 Farm Fair...July 4th-5th 2009
An Event for the whole family. Come take a mini~trip around the rolling hills of the Palouse. Drive down country roads, witness harvest underway and grab a class of Ice Cold Lemonade. Stop your buggies long enough for a barter or two (or three),then we will all meet up at the Ole Mill for a little "boogie"....Mark your calendars, and save your egg money..Farm Fair 2009 is a coming!

OK.. for registrating~ Yes.. I am asking farmgirls to "register" for the weekend. All registration does is allowes us to get an idea about the number of "farmgirls" that are coming. A person doesnt have to be registered to come ( other than the Sunday event), but this way we thought we would have a general idea of which of our farmgirls sisters were planning on coming, where they were staying and any needs or help they might need once they are here.

Here is the link for the registration page....
http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/FarmFair2009/registration.asp

Once you register, you will get an email from my friend and fellow farmgirl Wendi asking you if there is anything you need... Wendi was highlighted in the last MaryJane's Cluck as Feature Farmgirl.

For you gals staying in Spokane/Cheney Area... I am staying at Mirabeau Park in Spokane Valley. Cindi from the Mirabeau says there will be dancing at the Mirabeua Friday night July 3rd. So after you all come to Coeur dalene between 7-9, meet me back at the Mirabeau and we will cut a rug! (so to speak)....Then we will all meet back up at Hurd's in Rockford in the Morning for a day of fun in Palouse.....

Make sure that you register for the weekend, just so we know how many folks.. oh and grab your ticket for the Sunday Event.. I promise you wont want to miss it!

And I am still looking for chapters to adopt a table to decorate for Sunday! R

For anyone looking for a spot to stay over night in the area (Spokane, Wa.) I have plenty of camper, trailer, tent room. Good turnarounds and even room in my 103 yr old farmhouse, so come on over! I live in Cheney, just West of Spokane within minutes of I 90, a straight shot to Idaho and a short drive to Rockford (the Sat. meet). Come join us.

For those of you who havent yet "met" (Or as Wendi would say e-met) Wendi, let me introduce you. Wendi is an amazing farmgirl from The Coeur d'alene area who as luck would have it is an amazing event planner.. (FRAMEWORK).. I met Wendi early on in the planning stages for Farm Fair (which we are calling Buggy, Barter and Boogie), thru Chris and Shannon Verela of Settler's Creek ( that is where the Sunday event will be held). Wendi jumped right in and offered to help with all the details surrouding the Sunday Fun of farm Fair and she has been amazing.. should you guys have any questions on where to stay while attending Farm Fair she is a great resource, and an even better farmgirl and friend. For all of you that received the newsletter ( chapter leaders and those farmgirls in the sisterhood)... you will see I mention her in the newsletter this week too.

I can promise you, that you will not want to miss farm fair. We have so much fun planned, but the people alone are worth the trip.

If you haven't registered for the weekend yet, be sure to do so in order to reserve your tickets to the fun! Here to help answer any questions for your lodging, travel in, dining options and more -

Does anyone know of any good campgrounds close by. I want to come so bad I can't stand it, but money is tight and the whole family would be coming along. So I thought if we could camp then it would cut down on costs. Thanks Tammy

Hey Joann,,,,
the hubs & I use to go up to (when we lived in SO. Calif.)the Rogue River to camp & fish....we always ate at a sweet little mom&pop place over in Applegate on the Applegate River. It had 2 dinner seatings and it was "Family style"
The whole family worked there. The Mom was the cook, her hubby-Dad was the host/waiter etc and the daughters were the servers...I loved sitting out on the back terrece, with the kitties under our ,feet we would watch the river stream by as we ate. It was wonderful....I miss those memories...gosh that was back around 1980...can't remember the exact years but I am thinking 79-81....
Anyways, look forward to meeting up w/the Rogue River Sisters...lol!

That will be so cute Annika!! Rene, do you have any idea for the afternoon, it will take me a good 5.5 hours to drive to Oaksedale. I most likely won't arrive until 2pm or so. Ya think everyone will be at the Flour Mill that late in the afternoon?
