Posted - Nov 30 2007 : 10:11:57 AM Wonderful articles and another reason to love our Farm Girl. I struggled for years as a single parent and know it "ain't" easy. One thing I lacked was a clear direction and goal, Mary had a star to follow. I am so proud of all she has accomplished and this great place she has given us to meet and exchange ideas. To help and encourage each other and allow us to find a dream to follow. Thank You Mary Jane

Posted - Nov 26 2007 : 2:08:41 PM ISn't it fun..sorry I posted another link to our article..should have read further. I ran into the local convenience store before work today (subbed in 3rd grade) and got the paper and then got 3 more (all they had) after work. Met another farmgirl (my sis in law Cherral) as she was going in...she was going to call her husband to pick up a few papers in the next town. At least ours weren't as heavy as those Thanksgiving issues MaryJane!! I was only able to get one of those. This was so so fun!!
Jenny in Utah Inside me there is a skinny woman crying to get out...but I can usually shut her up with cookies http://www.auntjennysworld.blogspot.com/ visit my little online shop at www.auntjenny.etsy.com |

Posted - Nov 26 2007 : 10:23:02 AM What a great write up. MaryJane you are such an inspiration in a world where it is so easy to get caught up in the fast pace, must buy, must have lifestyles. Your Farmgirl Connection is a true god-send. Personally it keeps my feet on the ground, knowing that even I can make a difference. Diane |

Posted - Nov 26 2007 : 09:11:02 AM What a darling out-of-the-ordinary photo of your group. (I LOVE your new bob, Libbie!) My brothers are sending actual copies. I can't wait to see the photo of you in all its glory.
One of my brothers drove around on Halloween and bought dozens of newspapers. Oops, wrong holiday. On Thanksgiving, my other brother called breathless saying each paper weighed a ton (he'd been out and about as well). I said, "I only needed a couple." His reply, "I figured all your employees would want one and you'll need to set some aside for your grandkids, too." They are sooooo proud of me. My sister called this morning too. Fun stuff.
And I am so proud of the RURAL UTAH FARMGIRLS!!!!!!
Look for my new book, "MaryJane's Stitching Room," in bookstores now. Coming next in 2008: "MaryJane's Outpost Guidebook - for Cultivating Your Inner Wild." |
