Posted - Jul 03 2007 : 07:48:13 AM Thought you gals may have missed Sunny's new ongoing posting on our main splash page for jobs. Here 'tis again.
MaryJanesFarm is located just outside of Moscow, Idaho, a town of 22,000 located in the Palouse region of northern Idaho. The Palouse prairie is a region of gently rolling hills geographically situated in eastern Washington and the western panhandle of northern Idaho. Moscow and Pullman, Washington, both small college towns, are located just 7 miles apart.
MaryJanesFarm is a unique workplace, in that it is located, literally, on MaryJane’s small farm! The chickens roam free, the cows graze nearby, and the birds are singing all around the buildings that house the different jobs at the farm. MaryJane encourages her employees to take walks on their breaks along the country lane that leads to the farm. Her employees also have access to her packaged mixes and the garden-fresh produce that she grows.
MaryJanesFarm currently has the following positions open:
Dehydrated Food Packager This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time while measuring the food into packages. The job also requires the ability to lift 50 lbs., repeatedly press a foot-pedal heat sealer, accurately read a digital scale, and affix labels neatly to packages. Transportation is required. Pay rate is $8.50 / hr.
Interested applicants should call Lucas 208-882-6819 on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST.

Posted - Aug 09 2007 : 06:56:36 AM Tell me more about Farm Girl Chapters. What is their purpose? How are they run? Who is involved? Obviously, I'm new to this forum. My intro is on the Welcome Wagon forum. I'm interested in the job posting for Farmgirl Chapter Leader Coordinator. I always sell myself short and think I couldn't do a job as well as someone else and often find I am actually perfectly fitted for the task. I think I have all the qualifictions. I'm also unfettered by young children and have a hubby who is supportive of most of my endeavors and we're both interested in relocating to the west (that is almost anywhere west of the Mississippi). I'll try to put together a resume. ASAP. I do work full time now as a artist and graphic designer heading up the in-house printing department at a small retail stationery/invitation store and spare time is limited - also trying to get myself prepared for my experimental backyard outpost project.(posted about that on the outpost forum)
Have a several times in my life history done all of the following: 1.Gardening (also hold a certification in landscape management with my own personal emphesis on organic small scale gardening) 2. Cooking (have worked invarious food service jobs including personal cook) 3. Canning and freezing garden produce 4. Crocheting, knitting, embroidery. (My skills with making garments are limite) 5. Livestock managment. (Have at different times owned/raised:horses, ducks, chickens, goats, rabbits - the latter 3 for food supply-though on a very small scale) 6. All sorts of arts and crafts 7. Home schooled my kids 8. Public speaking at a few various church and community groups, as well as public musical performances when MUCH younger. 9. Camping, hiking, a tiny bit of mountian climbing and rapelling, mountain biking, and am taking a kyaking course next weekend. 10.Pretty orgainzed - they call me the orgaization queen at work. 11. Haven't formally worked in marketing - but did start several small businesses (mostly 1 man/woman shows) and got them off the ground and profitable. The last one, being a gourmet granola business with wholesale liscencing, shipping, trademark - the whole nine yards. 12.Love to write, draw, paint, and talk to folks yet still give them their space. Well, maybe I have what it takes. How detailed do you want this resume? Opps - looking over what I just wrote-I may have just submitted a kind of resume! Ha, just kidding. I can get to rambling. I keep forgetting that this little box is for a "quick reply", Sorry. I'll get on the resume ASAP. Thanks Kate (also known as Kathy and Kathryn - depending on my mood)
