Getting ready to try for #2 and we want to use completely cloth for this little one. I used Kushies all in ones with the first and had good luck...just wondering what ya'll used and how you liked them. Anyone make your own...what kind of luck there?
Thanks!

I make diapers out of flannel sheets, tshirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, etc. If anyone wants the pattern I am happy to share. I also have made diaper covers several dirrent ways out of old wool sweaters. Recycled items are the best for diapers. I could whip up a few if people need them, too. They are so fun and fast to make. The best part is it is all stuff you already have or can get bags of at thrift stores for almost nothing. Email me if you want.

OMG! The diapers I just sent to Tasha-Rose are Ragamuffins! I've never personally used them, but I LOVE the idea of taking recycled sheets and making them into diapers. And the ones I got were well used, but they were still good diapers. I wish she'd get a website.

I met a woman (a farmgirl for sure) in Indiana two years ago that was making the most adorable recycled sheets flannel diapers and swore I would call her someday. We've beem using them for three months now and not only are they adorable, but they're great! Her company is called Ragamuffin Diapers and you can order them individually or by the dozen. If anyone is interested in her contact info, feel free to email me. I really love these diapers!

I made all of ours using the fantastic pattern from www.chloetoesboutique.com. The gal who designed the pattern is a wonderful woman, and she has put so much thought into these diapers. I love everything about them.

Fuzzibunz during the day w/ prefolds stuffed inside. Nightime we use a Kissaluvs, with a prefold and thin layer of fleece stuffed inside with a wool soaker on top. A bit bulkier but no nightime leaks:-)

We use prefolds and prowraps too- nothing easier or cheaper. (though I love me some good wool, too! :))

We use organic pre-folds and I make two kinds of wraps -- PUL with knit cotton, and wool felt with a microfleece liner.

SO cheap to make your own wraps -- esp. the felted wool ones, which are all former sweaters.

Best,

Robin

I have all kinds, but my favorite are Kissaluvs and Fuzzi Bunz. The Kissaluvs are so pretty, and I like the low-rise in the front.
My favorite overall are the Fuzzi Bunz, they are super trim under clothes and the fleece keeps the babe feeling dry all night.

Where do you find MotherEase? I searched on the internet and only found them on Ebay...guess I could buy them there....but would rather have them new. Do the motherease ones require an insert? Just curious. There are so many options out there now it's hard to choose!

We used the MotherEase ones -- regular with liners and covers and the sandies (elastic legs) for when they were smaller. Didn't like the velcro ones cause when my boys would squat they would just pop open and they tend to pick up strings over time.

We use unbleached organic cotton prefolds and ProWrap covers. Love the system, the clean up is easy and I wouldn't dream of using anything else! Good luck!!
