Hi Sisters!
As some of you may know, my son has a mild form of autism. I just wanted to remind everyone that April is Autism Awareness month. On March 29, the CDC updated its estimate of autism's prevalence in the U.S. to 1 in 88 children (1 in 54 boys, 1 in 252 girls). Although there is some controversy over causes of autism and treatments, I think that we can all agree on two things:

These children need our love and support.

More research needs to be done.

I hope you will join me this month in helping to raise autism awareness in any matter that you see fit. Some ways you can help are:

Speaking with family & friends about autism.

Including autism info in your emails, web signatures, tweets, etc.

Participating in the Light It Up Blue campaign on April 2nd.

Donating time or money to a local autism group or charity.

Thanks to everyone for reading this and passing on the message of hope. If you want to know more, click on the Autism Speaks link in my signature. Happy Sunday everybody!

My son is also an Aspie. He's doing much better in his new school. We had to fight for it, but its been worth it.

Stephanie, thanks for putting this up. My youngest has aspergers and I have subscribe to the autismsite.com on facebook. They have a lot of items to share which I do. Everything each one of us can do to spread the word is progress compared to those who deny the problem exsists.

God bless,

Judy
