I'm a pretty excited Momma today. Took my daughter in for her speech appointment and the speech path was floored by how much she has improved, well I do work with her EVERY DAY! I asked her how long she figured she would need to see a speech path to be speaking at her age level, years and years? And she said..... about 6 months!!!! When we started our speech path a year ago my daughter was unintelligeable. NO ONE could understand her it was gibberish. And a year latter we're almost at the victory line. I was told when we started that she could need the help all the way through elementary but then because I was doing so much with her at home, well she improved quickly. The speech path was also floored when my four year old was reading some of the words. Her jaw dropped and she said, "She can READ???" Uh yeah, since she was 3 1/2. I'm so proud of my little girl. She has come so far so fast. She's worked hard to say her sounds and say her words and she's doing so well. Just wanted to share that with someone.

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

DD was labeled "Delayed Expressive" because she wouldn't talk. We learned that a lot of speech issues naturally resolve. DD's speech is now just like other kids. And sometimes she talks TOO much! Lol

That's awesome!! I think your daughter's and your hard work is really paying off if you're impressing the pathologist :) And reading at 3 1/2 is wonderful! Congrats on two great girls :)
