Hi Farmgirls,

Hooray! I am Room Mom for my daughter's fourth grade class this year! In our town, it's her last year in Elementary (gulp). Do you farmgirls have any ideas for crafts/games on a very tight class budget? We have three parties where the other room mom and I have to come up with a quick but cute, inexpensive craft: Halloween, Holiday, and Valentine's. We really want this year to be great, as it is their last year at the Elementary, and the last year (sniff) Moms get to volunteer in the class.

Any ideas would so greatly be appreciated.

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Glad I found this thread again. I hadn't thought about this site in awhile. You can buy large amounts of items for very little $$. Good for crafts and party favors. Hope it helps.

When I had my Girl Scout troop we made centerpieces for the Community Lunch here in town. Maybe the children would like to make something for someone else.

I have a bias about making a craft just to be a dust collector or for the child to take it home and have the parent toss it after the child worked hard on it.

Maybe the children could make t shirts with their hand prints onthem. Or you could make some sort of bag for each of them to hang in the place they hang their coats. I do not mean you but them. I do not know how many children are in the class but places like walmart have white and colored bags in their craft areas for not much money.

Here is a link to some Thanksgiving games. I really need to re-write that article too. Thanks for making me go search for it :) Now I can resubmit it and upgrade it a bit.
