Today was the first day of school. We started a week late due to the hurricane, and were so glad to get power back before today (originally they said no power until the 8th or 9th). Anyway, here's my girl. Even the cat is missing her... I promised not to "embarrass" her, but admit I still cried a little bit when the bus drove away! I hope she has a great day! Still having computer issues after the storm, sorry that the pic is sideways!

Beautiful DD!! This year I sent a DS to 7th grade, a FDS to 8th grade, a DD to 2nd grade, and a DD to kindergarten!! When those two busses drove off, I stood there, with my 2yo DS, and cried too. You'd think after all the "first day of school"s I have been through, it would get easier...it doesn't. In two years, my youngest will ne starting school. I think my DH is making arrangements already to have me "committed" LOL I don't even want to know what its going to be like when they grow up, and leave me with an empty nest, after raising 5 little ones!

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

Thanks! She had a great day. She's in fourth grade this year and is off to a great start. She loves her new teacher!

Oh, Nicole - your daughter is just gorgeous! I hope she has a great start to the school year! I think she and my oldest might be the same age.

Gorgeous darling! Hope she has a great day! And don't worry...I won't tell her you cried. ;)
