Thought I would share these pics I took of Violet a few days back--she plays quite well by herself, and really enjoys playing "vet" and also likes to have her apron on to play "eat" (playing with her kitchen and china cabinet)...This particular evening, she wanted to do both!

You're not jokin', Kris. Each day, she changes--while I don't miss the teeny tiny baby stuff, I do wish she'd just slow down, a little :) Thanks! A few nights ago, she had her "vet stuff" in the kitchen while I was doing prep work for Easter dinner, taking care of the real dogs :) She kept laying that cloth bandaid on Finn, saying, "Therego, Fitz. You bettuh now!"

She is so cute and growing up way too fast, Jonni.

This age is so wonderful, Megan! Seems like she's picking something up each and every day--new word, new phrase, and it's all just amazing! I really enjoy watching her play and imagine. She imitates animals sounds constantly, and loves to read books. Enjoy all the phases of your wee one, and get yourself geared up for 2! It's too much fun!

Pictures like this make me miss my vivid imagination! I can't wait to pretend again with my daughter.

Thanks, Alee--I know you like the one where she's giving the "hoh-see" a shot in the nose!!! ROFL! She sure enjoys herself, and I'm glad of it. I love that she seems to have fun with very little effort and likes playing by herself. She does enjoy a good tea party with me and Elie (the Lab) but overall, she's a very independent player.

Diane, you never know! It was what I always wanted to be (along with a jockey, blacksmith, and archeologist)...oddly enough, I turned out to be a classically trained ballerina!

@Mary Beth--I worry about "missing" something, or not remembering, I guess. These times are so special to me. And, as an adult, I love hearing stories about when I was little, looking back through my husbands and my "art" projects, pictures, etc, and I have boxes of my, his and our "history"...I guess maybe I did grow up to be a sort of archeologist :)

Keep that imagination going. My kids all played well by themselves. Imaginations run wild. I am glad you do take pictures and maybe keep a journal of sayings. I wish I would have. MB

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Thanks, Elaine. It was pretty sweet. She kept sayin, "Dis Hor-see weal sick" and "hode stilt bunrab!" I love to watch her imagine--such visions these wee one's have!
