Posted - Jul 22 2010 : 09:16:34 AM This is a vent, we of course have a newborn and my immediate older two (7 year old and 3 year old) are just acting up (whapping each other, bickering, carrying on more so than usual). They even fight over who gets to be nearest baby. Know many changes are happening but sometimes I feel like I need Jo Frost to come over and give me some tips.
Who took my (generally) civil children?

Posted - Jul 22 2010 : 6:23:54 PM I was a quiet kid too and didn't mouth off to my parents either. I ended up with one introvert (our oldest) and two extroverts (said children who are being monkeys), our newborn who's personality is hard to tell yet.
We've tried everything too, taking away gaming, cable, etc.
Ack!

Posted - Jul 22 2010 : 11:22:30 AM My five year old has been mouthy, rude, and tries to talk over me. She has never been like this.
I keep taking away DS, movies, TV time.
I know that she has been stuck in the house because it has been so hot and she has been sick.
She spends lots of time with us as there aren't many kids in the neighborhood. And one that visits next door, I just don't want my kid around her or her family's problems. We play board games, read, go here and there.
I don't know what to do with her sometimes. So I think we all have Supernanny moments.
I was a really quiet and shy kid. I sometimes don't know how to deal with her. I wouldn't even have dreamed to talk back to my parents.
