Posted - Sep 18 2009 : 10:18:02 AM Nora woke up this morning when she bumped her head on the bars of her day bed. I felt bad for her, but it was really nice to have her be so huggy and cuddly this morning. Unfortunatly for me it was early early early- well 6am, but I had only gone to bed 5 hours before! So we spent a lazy morning watching cartoons and movies.
What do you do when your kids get up before you are fully rested? Do you jump right into the day or do you need some warm-up time?

Posted - Sep 20 2009 : 10:06:38 AM Ha! I wish I knew what to do. My little ones are up between 5:30 and 6:30 EVERY morning. I guess I'm just used to it by now. I get up with them (they're only 1 and 2) and we snuggle and I try to wake up a little more. Once in a while I let them put on a movie but for the most part I try and keep the first half hour- hour just for waking up and snuggling! :)

Posted - Sep 18 2009 : 3:30:42 PM If my kids get up before me, they usually keep to themselves. If they get up right after me, on weekends, I don't let them turn on the t.v. right off the bat. That is usually when I want to get in some reading, so I have them do quiet things for a bit.
Does Nora feel better by now? Poor thing - what a way to wake up!

Posted - Sep 18 2009 : 12:24:33 PM Usually,we'll turn a movie on and they cuddle up in bed with me. I almost always need warm up time, but if they just aren't willing to give it to me, I fix them breakfast and then I take a quick hop in the shower to get my eyes open a little more. :D Sometimes, I just go around groggy and hope for the best..lol.
Hope Nora is feeling better!! hugs

People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.
