I asked that Nora be gifted with Art things by family member for Christmas and boy did my family come through for her! Her paternal grandpa gave her a coloring/art desk that she can sit at, her Uncle gave her a huge wall sized aqua doodle, and my parents gave her lots of crayons and paper!

Nora just sat down at her desk and colored for about 30 minutes straight. She is so adorable. She has figured out how to draw circles and how to color things in now.

Today she figured out how to draw two circles touching each other and she drew something that either was a puppy or a horse...it had a body, legs and tail. Not sure if she meant to or not- but it is so sweet that she is exploring her creativity.

That is so awesome she was gifted all that! And yes, the stories are amusing...

My 5yo is a train nut, and so the movie the Polar Express was popular there around Christmas. I can't tell you how many drawings we had with a train sliding around on the ice towards the narrow mountains. So cute. Now we're on to icicles taller than the kids and plants covered in snow, but still.

Hi Stacy-

Nora is still a bit young to tell me stories that I can understand- she only says maybe between 10-20 words (Not quite 2 yet!) I can't wait till she can tell me stories though! That will be so much fun!

aren't those circles w/ stickarms & legs adorable?...ask her questions about the "creatures" and write exactly what she says on the paper and keep a few at different intervals...it will be great to look at when she gets older...my kids love seeing/reading what they did/what they thought!...the best one i have is a pic of me lying on the couch, when i asked my second oldest what i should write on it..she said in a monotone voice..."mommy's pregnant again"...and walked off...that was #4's pregnancy (with #3&4 16 mo apart)..so needless to say the older two were sick of mommy "riding the couch"...keep on a'braggin about the little one
