Here are my two little ones in our back "yard" area. To them, it's ALL wilderness!

SOOO sweet!!! They are adorable!!! I will have to show my husband your woodpile...ours is in a great big heaping mess!!!! My kids use it to make "wood forts and houses" when they're playing...so my hubby has given up keeping it looking neat!!! :) Thanks for sharing such a sweet picture!!!

Have a happy day!!!

Thanks so much - they are the lights of my life. I am SO thankful I have them to focus on right now! They are almost 2 and almost 5 - Arthur is the littlest and then William. They are so sweet, and I was so lucky to get this photo - I just love it! We live right in the middle of a high mountain valley - mountains on both sides, and close - it's so pretty. Right now it's so windy, though - the valley becomes a wind tunnel in spring! Diane - there is MUCH work in the woodpile, but it's such a good feeling to go into winter with it "full." It's a wood fence, and we probably have 3-4 years of wood stored up, but I go through it so fast with babies in the house - I just CANNOT abide the though of cold little ones!

Beautiful, healthy looking boys. Great pic Libbie, love it!.
We used to heat solely with wood too...lots and lots of hard work in that wood pile!

They are very cute! My two boys are probably pretty close in age to your two boys. How old are they?

That picture is really precious. I had to read the post twice to believe it was a current picture. It really looks like one of those pictures of someone's grandparents when they were kids! Cutie cutie kids and boy you live right at the base of the mountains don't you?

What a great idea, Libbie! Someday I hope to have a wood stove and I will be that woman out in the woods with a chainsaw hauling logs! LOL

Thanks, gals! I just love, love, love these boys - they're what get me through the rough patches.

Alee - we use the wood to heat our house - and it DOES make a dandy windbreak, too! Everytime we see a downed tree, my husband goes and asks the person if they want it removed, and if they want the wood. He then cuts it up for either a little cash or the wood for us. It works great!

What an adorable photo! I love the sepia coloring. It makes it seem like a 1920's photo.

Libbie- Did you use your winter firewood as a windbreak?
