*sighs* I hate it when my little bug is sick. We went to a friend's house for the Super Bowl and they hadn't told us their little girl was sick. Now Nora has it. Fever, runny nose, congestion, and now a cough. Poor baby. She needs to sleep so bad but just can't nurse long enough to get full because of her congestion and I am sure- a sore throat.

She is her normal inquisitive self today, except to the red runny eyes, runny nose, cough, and the fact that mom go a total of hmmm...4.5 hours of sleep last night! I am going to take her to the doctor to day just in case there is something they can do.

Poor little Nora...I second the Vicks. Mom (and Great Gran) swore by it for me..rub it all over her chest and neck and then wrap that area in a warm towel or blanket (not one that you love :)

Hoping little sweet one feels better, Alee. It's crappy to be sick and so little ...

Poor sweetie! I hope that she feels better soon and that you both get more rest. I bet this howling wind storm isn't helping. I don't know how wild it is in town, but it's pretty wild out here.
Hugs all around and a big "Get Better" to Nora

Poor little, bug! You've already got all the great advice you need, so I'm just sending you all hugs. Make sure she gets lots of special Daddy time once she feels better so that Daddy doesn't feel bad after his rejection last night. Hope our girl is feeling better soon!

Thanks ladies! We are up in the middle of the night, yup! 3:00am she started crying for her mommy. She was looking and smiling at her daddy so I thought he should hold her for a minute before he went to bed. Bad idea. She started wailing as soon as he picked her up (which is totally weird). Normally she laughs and hugs him. Kinda sweet that she wants me though! I just wish I could make her feel better.

We have a sippy full of Pedialyte. She isn't quite sure what to think of `it

have you thought of giving her pedialyte in place of milk since she is congeested and coughing? sometimes the milk can make the phlem(sp?) worse for them when they are sick.. also one thing that helped my kids when they were snotty or congested was the little nose drops for babies something like "little noses" or something like that it is called...of course then use the suction bulb to suck the gunk out..they won't like it but it will help keep them cleared out. Also a humidifier always helps when they have a bad cough too.
awww poor baby..so sorry she is sick. there's been a horribly bad bug going around further south..south Florida..all my family and friends way down south have been horribly sick with it.
hope your little baby bug gets better real soon..give her a hug from all of us farmgals.

I always used to use Vicks on my kids too - seemed to help and I know it made ME feel better to think I was doing something for them!

OH!! Poor baby!! My son is constantly sick due to daycare. I give him a lot of warm baths with the lavendar and mint oils, as suggested on here. Then I put him in his footy pj's and rub him down with baby Vicks. Then he gets lots of water and watered down juices and I use a nasal spray to clean out his nose. I make sure I moisturize him with something like jojoba oil.

Cheers,
Heather
