Posted - Jan 09 2008 : 12:14:42 PM My son can walk! Yikes! He has been cruising around hanging on to the coffee table and couch for at least two months, but he has finally gotten brave enough to let go. The most he has taken is probably 6 or 8 steps before falling, but I am sure it won't be long before he is running.
I think my days have just gotten a bit more complicated! ;) I am so excited for the little guy, and a little sad that he is big enough to walk without me... |

Posted - Jan 11 2008 : 05:21:26 AM Sounds like we have a lot of walkers around here! So much fun!
I think having a big brother to chase is excellent motivation, Heather. I bet it is really cute when Sullivan tries to stand up by himself. Wyatt hasn't tried that one yet.
Alee, I bet she didn't even realize what she had done! It seems like Wyatt does his best walking when something forbidden is suddenly available to him. Then he's off! The other night my brother-in-law set his can down on the coffee table about ten feet from Wyatt and before I could tell him to move it, Wyatt was almost there! |

Posted - Jan 10 2008 : 8:47:14 PM I think Nora might have taken her first independent step today! I just barely saw it out of the corner of my eye, but she was cruising at a run and couldn't quite make it from one object to the next- and then suddenly she had made it...So either it was magic- or she took a step or two!!

Posted - Jan 10 2008 : 8:38:23 PM Sullivan is trying to skip the whole cruising thing and just pulls himself up and tries to walk away from it. He can stand for a little while without holding anything and he is trying to stand up without holding anything. I know he can cruise, I've seen him do it a couple times, he just is in a big hurry to chase his big brother! |

Posted - Jan 10 2008 : 06:27:13 AM Thanks, we are having so much fun just watching everything he does. It is amazing!
Larissa- I love your website! Such beautiful stuff. I really like that Peekaru vest, that is such a great idea. Let me know when you get stocked back up on your carriers. I have a mei-tei but need something with a bit more structure, although it doesn't need to be rated for 60 below! ;)
Emily- Good luck on your upcoming delivery! I looked at your sewing blog yesterday and you are just too talented. |
