WoooooHoooo and YEEEE HAAWWW !!!! That is great.

When we were trying (15 years ago) I had the calendar all marked out and showed my hubby and said, "Here are my fertile days. We have to 'do it' for 8 days" He thought that was as good as another honeymoon. By the 4th day he was tired and asking for a break. HA HA HA

Oh, and by the way, we have an almost 15 year old......it must've worked!!

Tasha, use this affirmation. I've used it for clients for years: I am a strong, healthy woman capable of conceiving, carrying and delivering a strong, healthy child." Use it to strengthen your faith. Visualize yourself holding that lovely baby. Feel his/her sweet weight in your arms. Picture his/her lovely face. You can do it, girl. I'll be right behind nagging all the way.

Tasha- I am so glad to hear you say it is not luck, that was a bad choice of words. I am a doula and I truly believe that if you trust your body and your baby to work together in birth they will. When it is interfered with it causes so many emotional and physical problems for both mama and baby. I was in such fantastic shape after having my son- no one hollerin at me to push until I bruised or tore and we were all settled in. The only thing that slowed me down was lifting my three year old too soon because I felt so good- that set me back quite a bit.

Thanks for sharing your birthing story;) Rebekka

Rebekka, you had yourself an unassisted birth!! HUZZAH! I'm not the only one! I think it has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with the safety and normalcy of birth when left alone!

Zoe was born here at home, as planned, unassisted. I had two hours of labor and two minutes of pushing. No pain, no tearing and no problems at all! I fully anticipate the very same thing with the next baby.

Tasha-
That link is great, we had Jack at home with just my husband and our doula and it was so nice. We had a midwife but she did not get there until an hour after Jack was born, she lives and hour and a half away and my labor was two hours start to finish! Am I the luckiest girl ever or what? By the time the midwife arrived I was showered and having breakfast with my new baby in my arms. My favorite memory of that morning, other than meeting Jack of course, was our best friends showing up with a truckload of firewood (they knew we were still waiting on our wood delivery and it was COLD). I hope you have such a smooth birth, but first there is the fun part;)

Warmly, Rebekka

Mima! i actually for a second saw that last night! I do visualization and such and I visualize the sperm meeting the egg and conceiving...well for half a second I saw two, but then lost it. I am pretty sure I am only going to have one more. Twins are in my family, but given the dreams I had about losing the last baby and then having another daughter, I think I am safe to say that I will only conceive one! LOL!! that's funny. Rob would FREAK OUT!

That'd be another great story to tell, the unassisted homebirth of twins! There is a woman named Mindy Goorchenko who has a video out of the unassisted homebirth of her twins and one of them was a footling breech!

So yep, i am ovulating right now (I cycle in time to the Moon!) and am suppose to bleed at the Full Moon, so we'll see in a few days, really. It's going to be the longest two weeks of my life!!

Yay Tasha and Jonni!! I have had baby fever for the last month or so! I know we can't have another baby so soon, especially not with a big move coming up, so I am going to be hoping extra hard that your baby dreams come true!!

Good luck, Tasha. We're contemplating the same thing...possibly starting the first of February if all with my ann. visit goes well--he just blindsided me last night with, "c'mon, let's go for it!!!"

Good luck to you!!!!
