Posted - Dec 02 2007 : 08:13:16 AM If I put milk into one of the 6 ounce Medela breast pumping bottles and put a nipple top on it, Nora can hold her own bottle. The other bottles are just too big for her little hands. Even though she is 8 months old, the big drop in bottles that we mainly use are just too big and heavy. Part of the issue is that we don't bottle feed very often.
Anyway, I handed her a bottle this morning so I could spend some time cleaning out my email and she did the cutest thing- I will add a photo later.
I put the bottle right side up on the ground infront of her, and she grabbed it, but didn't lift it. Instead she bent over and tried to drink from the bottle while it still had it's bottom on the ground! It was so cute.
I didn't get a picture of that- I got a picture as she was trying to only lift it as far of the ground as she absolutley had to, to get milk.
Sorry, I know this is probably a total mommy moment. Where I think it is adorable and everyone else is probably thinking "Uhm...Okay..."- But I had to share! Wait...isn't that another symptom of it being a mommy moment? ;)

Posted - Dec 02 2007 : 7:01:58 PM Sullivan won't let us hold the bottle anymore- he has to hold it and feed himself. He doesn't like very much for us to feed him food with a spoon either, he would rather have bits of regular food so he can feed himself. It's kind of nice sometimes. He is almost pulling himself up. He has been crawling with one leg straight like he is trying to walk with one leg and crawl with the other. Goofy boy!
Forgot to mention, my other son, Tate (who is almost 3) just got his 2 front teeth pulled the other day. People already think he is 4, now he looks even older! He had fallen a few months ago and banged his teeth up into his gums and they ended up dead and infected, so he got them pulled. Boy, I've never heard him scream like that! He doesn't take too kindly to being held down!
Alee, I think it's a good thing you come on here and tell everyone Nora's milestones because in a few years you won't remember everything and you could look back and reminisce! |
