I was pumping tonight and my breast pump broke!! I am really worried! I heard a thunk and the motor suddenly sounded different. I quickly realized that the suction mechanism is broken!!! EEEK! I am already full and Nora is glutted and asleep. I think I am going to have to go to the hospital and get another set for a rental pump that I still have- Good thing I forgot to return it!! I am so disappointed! I love the one that just broke. I hope WIC will repair it since it is their pump that they gave me!!

Man mine is almost a year old and still going strong. (I had a preemie too and have to pump)

I had a medela, but use Ameda sheilds etc.

I hope they will fix yours!

Very cool... it sucks to start leaking everywhere.

BTW did you get my reminder?

Oh I just ran to the hospital and got the set that hooks up to the Medela pump. Phew! I feel much better now. I am medium chested and just pumped out 7 ounces. Nora will probably wake up in the middle of the night since she went to bed at 5:30, woke up to eat at 7:30 and was into her crib around 7:50. But at least until then I am not in pain.

The hospital just gave me the set. They didn't ask my name or anything. Yay Gritman! The nurses are great.

If you dont need the milk.... get in the shower and hand express it. I have had a hospital medela... a hand pump medela and a hand pump avent.

I wore out the medela... and the avent took a little bit to get the right touch, but that one would pump more milk quicker than any other I have had.

When you have a micro preemie, you have to pump.
