These mittens are made from felted wool sweaters and lined with fleece. They are SO nice for the winter! They are $15 per pair, and that includes shipping. Let me know if you want to order a pair! I also have other fabrics if you'd prefer other colors!

(the gray pair is cashmere--my kids say they feel like kittens!)

Yes, Sheila! It had been VERY COLD right when I ordered the mittens. Then it warmed up and this last weekend we got RAIN, believe it or not and, of course, not cold enough for warm wooly mittens. Today was colder with snow most of the day and it's back to January weather!
Bramble, my doggie, and I were out in today . . . cozy warm mittens and all!

Anyone who needs a pair of nice warm mittens, Shelia's are just the BEST. I wear them every morning to play ball with my
dogs and my hands stay nice and warm.

I sent pics to Sheila of the package when it arrived . . . it suffered significant trauma and I'm just totally grateful the mittens were still inside and made it to my house!

Thanks again!

Sheila,
I have "average" womens hands I guess. Outdoor equipment sites say to measure around your knuckles with hand flat, NOT including your thumb to get a size. My measurement is 8 inches, so I'm thinking that what you make will work just fine.

I NEED A NEW PAIR OF MITTENS DESPERATELY!! I've worn and patched my old ones soooo many times!

I'm not terribly picky about colors but something multi would be good, reds/blacks/dark greens/blues, etc. If those in the bottom photo are available still they would be great.
I can do Paypal if you can and if you email me with your Paypal address.

Let me know!
Thanks much!
CJ

CJ -- they're kind of just the size of my hand, which I think is average to large women's hand ~~ craft shows I have taken these to--they've seemed to fit the majority of the women and men that try them on (fit my husband's hand too) -- for more petite women's hands I make to fit my almost-13 yr old daughter :) If you have a hand size that you're concerned about, you could always trace your hand and I can make it from that size (that's what I did for my dad)

And as far as warmth -- here in VT we have plenty of cold :) and they're usually very warm -- the kids wear them to play in the snow etc and even when they're wet they're still a bit warm (you know how wool does that. . .)

Email me if you're interested! I have lots more colors too :)

CJ, I really can attest to Sheila's mittens. I have 2 pair and wear them everyday, even in our -30 temps my hands stay warm. She also made a pair for each of the grand kids and their hands never get cold. I am really liking that striped sweater, I might have to have another pair!

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Sheila,
How do you go about knowing what size?
Are they nice and toasty warm in really cold?

Hi Shelia,
Received my blue gloves, love them! Are the mittens in the third picture still available?
I would love to have those, you ever make anything in green?
