Posted - Jul 23 2012 : 11:46:10 AM I have a recipe organizer from the 1930's for sale. It's charming, with sections divided by tabs, lined paper for jotting down recipes, and envelopes for tucking stray recipes into. It belonged to my great-grandma and I believe it's from the late 1930's/early 1940's.
And one other interesting thing about this recipe binder: the recipe it contains is one for what looks like "Violet's Knerbels," or "Cocktail Nibbles." If you read it, you'll see it's for Chex Mix. Now when did that come out? Did they steal the recipe from my grandma? And what's a Knerble? :)
Asking $25.00 for this recipe organizer, plus $3.00 shipping, or best offer. Thank you for looking!
