Posted - Aug 05 2011 : 9:49:23 PMBeen kind of a tough summer as far as art show sales...blame it on the economy! So, I have decided to offer my Vintage Double Wedding Ring Quilt for sale...
This is a sweet vintage double wedding ring lap quilt. The top came from Texas and was made from about 1930.
I lined the quilt with unbleached cozy and warm batting and on the underside I completed the quilt with a very soft all cotton sheet. The quilt is bound with very narrow white seam binding. My stitches are small and even.
There are NO STAINS on this quilt---It is in pristine condition! This quilt is all hand stitched and it took me quite a while to complete. Approximate size 51 inches X 38 inches. The color is a lovely shade of sky blue and crisp white.
This is a real heirloom treasure for your country style home!
I would like to get $75.00 for it. I have it listed on my Etsy site at $125.00.
It took a long time to hand quilt and I could use the money ladies.
Just drop me an e-mail if you are interested.
Thank you girls-

Posted - Aug 06 2011 : 07:08:40 AMI love it! If I had the money, I would definitely buy it. (You're right about the economy.) I hope you find someone who both loves it AND has the cash. Good luck!! It's beautiful work.
