Ladies-if you've been wanting to learn to play one here's your chance! This one is set up for the use of a noter (a piece of dowel you press down the 1st string with and slide from fret to fret) This one is diatonic meaning no 6 1/2 fret as the modern ones have but plenty of songs can be played on this! Refurbished it myself. Auction has 21 hours to go at the time of this posting.

That sounds great. I play mostly old time music--fiddle tunes, folk songs, etc. I play mountain dulcimer, guitar, fiddle, mandolin, a little clawhammer banjo, very little autoharp, and a few other instruments. I teach guitar and mountain dulcimer in a program at the school called Music Roots. We have donations of instruments, and we teach a one hour class each week for grades 4-8. Instruments and lessons are free to students. Teachers are paid from grant money, fund raising (not by the students), and donations. I also teach dulcimer to some of the ladies at the Folk Center.
It would be great to share ideas, songs, etc.

Ladies, would you care to join my Cyber Henhouse for musicians? It's called the Song & Season Spinnin Farmgirl Chapter-been trying to get it going on & off & would hate to lose it due to inactivity. Music is a big part of Farmgirl & Cowgirl life!

I play mountain dulcimer. It is a great instrument to learn to play on. I also teach dulcimer in a program in the schools called "Music Roots". I am now teaching some ladies who work at the Ozark Folk Center to play the dulcimer. Simple to learn, challenging to master.
