Just packing my vintage suitcase with more of my redwork-We have art shows back to back this weekend and they go fast-
They are hand-embroidered by yours truely with a deep rich red DMC cotton floss on high quality HEAVY Flour Sacks (I buy these through a restaurant manufacturer) then I trim the bottom edge with reproduction vintage 30's cotton print or red pillow ticking-$10.00 each or 2 for $17.00 plus shipping-
These are TOO cute-
If you are interested in buying a pair just let me know!
Also, I have decided to part with my antique pillow shams for $75.00. If you are interested in these little historical gems just let me know!

Posted - Nov 13 2010 : 8:51:18 PM Beautiful work, Melody! I think Nancy's right, though - you really should keep the shams. They are absolute treasures! Can you just imagine the life of the woman who made these all the way back then? WOW is right! :) - Nini

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce, Or a trouble is what you make it! And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts, But only--how did you take it?

Posted - Nov 12 2010 : 5:09:53 PM Nancy, I don't know who made them but they are dated 1892-Good size shams too-if that is the correct term for them-They lay across the pillow; it's not a pillowcase per se. Someone took great care with these...Can you imagine working on these and the year is 1892? WOW!
I have so much vintage linen it's time to clean out the closet!

Posted - Nov 12 2010 : 3:08:11 PM All so pretty Melody. Who made the pillow shams? You might regret selling them. They would look really pretty on an antique bed. Good luck with your show, hope you sell lots of stuff. Nancy Jo
