This roving is from our ewe, Blackberry who was a Border Leicester/Cotswold cross. Her roving is a smoky black and very soft. This is made from her last fleece as she passed away at the very old age of 16 years. The fleece was hand washed and then hand combed with viking combs and drawn through a diz to create pencil roving. It spins beautifully and easily as it is predrawn. It also is a fast felting wool and you can tell by the felt ball I made from it as well. $8 for 4 oz.

Sarah, that is beautiful - I love the depth of the colors! Like Alee, I don't spin, either, but I sure wish I could... I am so sorry that you have lost Blackberry, too. Hugs - Nini
