Good Morning All - hope this email finds you well.

I have a new giveaway for you that I hope you will enjoy and wish to participate in - a handmade "Gratitude Journal" that I have been creating and selling at my farm shop for many years now. It is made with a recycled ruled paper journal. The cover is my own design with all sort of repurposed and antique materials used in it's creation.

Please go to the blog posting under "Gratitude Journal" and follow the simple steps to enter into the contest. I hope you will tell your family, friends and anyone else you know to join in to win. I found that the more you share the more the universe share with you.

By the Way - I am grateful for all my wonderful farm girl friends, readers and customers in my life - I am so Thankful you are in my life....

Blessings and Be Well

I thank you so much for your kind words Christine - I am excited to have you as a follower - please always feel free to share your thoughts on my blog - I love to have such great connections with folks. Never feel your rambling, if you have not noticed I am one who loves words....

I understand the trials of caring for a sick family member - the strain, the joy, the pain and the smiles. It does change the way you view the world and how we can be so thankful for just the smallest of things - even sometimes just one more breath.. I am there with you and will keep you and yours in my prayers and my gratitude for one more day....

Blessings.

Grace ~ I just made a visit over to your blog and it is awesome!! I love your creativity, you are truly gifted. I even joined up as an official site follower! I left a long, rambling "Gratitude Journal" entry that doesn't even scratch the surface of all the many things God has blessed my family and I with throughout the years. BUT, I hope it is enough to win me one of those amazing journals! :-) A gratitude journal, in any shape or form, still accomplishes the same ultimate goal...but there's something about having such a beautiful masterpiece in your hand to open up and write in, a cup of tea, and a few moments of peace to listen to silence while you write! That alone is reason for gratitude! :-)

Good luck and God Bless in all of your endeavors!!

Christine

I sure will look foreword to hearing from you Sharon....

Thank you for the kind words Terri - I don't know about talents - I sure have my issues with taking pictures and the computer but if it has to do with fiber, animals or creating in my studio then I shine at those things - that is when the temp is not so hot. My little gray cells are fried and I am dreaming of snow....

Glad to have you at my blog - hope to stop in when you can - love hearing from farm gals...

Hi there ladies - Are you staying COOL

I know my little gray cells are overwhelmed with this heat so I thought I would give you a little nudge for those who have not gotten around to leaving a comment at the "Gratitude Journal"... I know you have been busy but I really do not want you to miss the deadline...

AT midnight Tuesday July 20th the names will be collected and the winner will be picked.... Hope you in it to win it.

Put some icecubes in your pants - really it helps.... May be a bit wet but sure wakes you up.

Hi Lin - well I still do not have your entry but if you do not mind I can just add your name and we will not fret about it. Sometimes your filters might bounce them into space...

You sure lived in a wonderful place - sorry you are not still here...
However, today it is almost 100 and that just is not what I want for myself or anyone else....

Again, sorry that we are having technical difficulties...

Oh Sharon there are tons of places for this information. I might start with Ravelry, there are tons of knitting groups on Yahoo too. In most of the knitting books there is in their reference pages also the suggestions. I could help better if you tell me what weight you are using and then I could assist with needle size - also it really depends on the pattern and also how you knit. If you are a tight knitter you are told to go up at least one size inorder for the piece to have more drape. If you are using handspun then I always suggest that you make a swatch to see how the yarn behaves - you can always tear it out but that way you are sure to get the right feel. If this did not help - email me off site and I will go thru my books and copy you some references to help.

Keep those needles moving...

Grace,

Things are going well over here :) I was thinking about you the other day and those oh so cute acorns you make :)

I have a yarn/knitting question for you. I am so new at knitting (knit stitch and purl stitch), I have only knitted scarves, rectangular shawls and dishcloths. I was wondering if you could let me know (or refer me to a resource) about weights of yarns and what size scale needles to use? Is there a rule? I don't know where to begin. I love your yarns and the other gals from MJF but I wouldn't know what size needles or how many skeins needed to make for example a scarf? I would appreciate you pointing me in the right direction :)

Jessie I am so glad you like my little blog - not much but I can say it is all me - that may not be a good thing but it is way it is....

Today I am thankful that I can be smarter then my goats - spent an hour taking apart of fence to get Maggie out of it because she just had to have this one thistle even though there was about two dozen inside the fence - GOATS, got to love them....

Sure would love to have some more enter the contest - love hearing what you are thankful for - it keeps us all grounded..

Okay, I'll try again, Grace. I signed in using my name, so I must have done something wrong. Silly me.........I'm determined to get this, so here goes! Lin

I lived in Colorado for almost 10 years. We were 180 miles west of Denver, clear up by the Continental Divide/Monarch Ski Area, 12 miles from Salida and over the mountain from Gunnison. Still miss it!!!

Okay, I blogged again! It seemed to have gone through.

Good Morning Lin

I checked the comment section for that posting and I did not see your comment under Lin - is it under another name?? If not, then I do not have your entry but if you wish to try it again we will see what is going on. If you are still unable to post (sometimes it is a firewall issue or browser problem) then I will gladly except your entry thru this forum and we will consider you in the pot...

Just let me know so I can assist - not saying I am a techno person but we will work it out.

Blessings
