Hi All! I'm just showing off some new yarns and my newest hat. Like the others, it's made from recycled materials, but this one has some needle felted flowers made from my hand dyed fibers...thanks for looking!

Diana,
You do have an eye for beauty! I'm glad you liked the Haflingers. Come ride if you ever make it to the Austin , TX area! I have 2 and also one who is my cousin's.
Meanwhile, keep on making yarn and also hats!

I LOVE the hats! I mean I love, love, LOVE them!
I added you to my Etsy Favorites. All my egg money is tied up in my Haiti trip and our rescued horse, Diamond. I hope you keep making hats.
Because did I mention that I LOVE them?

Thank you Brenda! Kris, I shear them twice a year...that's how fast their fiber grows! You can call it wool, that's sort of a generic term now, but i call it fiber or fur. The girl's coats are not that great this season, but I think that's because they are pregnant and all the energy is going into making babies! If you need a spinning lesson, come to Oregon :) I'll be happy to help you out!

I guess with all that hair it's hard to tell? I would think they would have had kids by now if they were bred in Sept. Mine were bred in Oct. and they are huge right now. And their udders are noticably bigger and fuller. Except the Nubian and she will right before she kids. Most don't bag up til a few weeks before. Some the day before. Just depends on the girl. And yes, last year out of 13 kids 11 were bucks. I know. We have had long talks those ladies and I. I'll rub their bellies and talk to all those girls inside. Just wishful thinking.

But yours should be getting real close. Let me know.

Do you sheer Angoras or just cut? And when do you do that? Is it called wool? I would love to have one. I need to get my spinning wheel put together again and take some lessons.

Kris, I thought my girls were bred in late September or early October, but now we're close to 5 months and they have not started to bag up at all, so I'm not sure! I've had pygmy babies before but never Angoras so I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking for. I checked the biggest one today, but still no bag, soooo.... any ideas? I sure hope you get yourself some girls...didn't they have boys last time??

Diana, we're almost ready to have some goat kids. A few more weeks now. I think they'll all have twins, the way they look. They better all have girls, too! Can't wait to see that beautiful barn. And how are all of yours? Any babes yet?

Hey Kris! How are you and the critters??? The barn is about 90% done. That's about "par for the course" for my hubby and I! I have just about finished the kidding stall, and we need to put one more door on the "hay" side and then I think we can relax...it's only taken a year to get this far LOL! I'll let you know when I post pics on my blog. Take care,

Thanks for looking at my Etsy shop. I think that that apron pattern design is so cute. It is definitely unique and so retro. I save your shop, because I really what you make. Now, when I am in the market for an adorable hat, I will know where to go.

Diana, I just love those hats. How are you doing with them? If I were a hat person I would get one. They are so pretty.

Is the barn done yet?

Thanks so much ladies! Yes, the gold turned out pretty bright, but it kind of does my heart good :) I named it Wild Crocus after some that pop up down the road each year!
