I acquired half a dozen hard-cover copies of Edith Holden's wonderful book, first published in 1906. She did not create the book for publication. It was the private diary of a Naturalist painter. If you're not familiar with her work, it ought to be required reading for every farmgirl who loves Nature. The book is a delight to read in any way, but it is also offers a wonderful way to begin or end your day as you read your way through the year. You're transported to rural England at the turn of the century. Included in Edith's writings are comments about her world, fantastic watercolor illustrations, her favorite poetry and what was going in the natural world around her as the seasons pass by.

The books I have are all 1980s vintage and in near mint condition. $20 covers the book and shipping and handling - per book. If you want more than one, I'll ease the shipping charges too. Contact me privately if you want to buy a book. I can accept Paypal for those who have that option.

I was going to sell these at a friend's antique store, but she moved.
Below is a photo sample of what lies inside the book.

I have these two books as our cross-stitch company got the rights to adapt the artwork and published 3 needlework books in the mid 1980's. These books are very collectible, so any of you out there without a copy, this is a great deal. They are wonderful!
