Sadly about 3-years ago I sold my spinning wheel. Didn't know how to use it or if it was complete so I let her go...
I would love to replace it with another and am wondering if anyone out there would be willing to part with their unused spinning wheel? I have made a fast friend with a local farm gal who raises her own sheep and who I buy my wool roving from for my felted soap. But, I also knit like a crazy person and would be very interested in spinning my own yarn.
If you have a spinning wheel and want to sell it or get rid of it.

I would try www.etsy.com search "spinning wheel" under supplies, and handmade. I have the Bellus double treadle from Heavely handspinning. They are ok spinning wheels for the price ($245.) I shelled out cash for my Lendrum, which was $600. and it was worth every penny.
I taught myself to spin, with help from Maggie Casey's Start Spinning book, and many Youtube downloads. I'm now selling my yarns, it's so much fun! If you want to spin bulky yarns like mine http://atomicblue.etsy.com look for a wheel with a bulky bobbin, and big orifice! You'll be spinnign before you know it...I was!

I wish you both the best in finding a wheel. I have had mine for almost a year now, thanks to Grace!!!! I will keep an eye out for you both! Another thing you could do is google spinning guilds and see if there is a guild in your area and see if anyone has a wheel they are selling! Also a lot of times if you can find a guild, you can check out a variety of wheels!
