I found a tunic pattern on this Butterick site - http://img.sewingtoday.com/cat/10000/itm_img/B5015.jpg

Is this what you are looking for?

I am betting you are looking for east indian kurtas (Just below the bum) or salwars (to the knee or longer). I have a pattern for this, I think it is a "past patterns" but I'll have to go look. I also know amy butler recently released a pattern: http://www.fabric.com/notions-patterns-sewing-patterns-by-designer-amy-butler-patterns-amy-butler-lotus-tunic-and-cami-pattern.aspx

I could make a standard size tunic if you would like, but I have several other commitments currently so a custom fitted tunic would have to be later in april. You can email me if you'd like to discuss this further :)

Are you thinking tunic shirts kind of like you see at Renaissance Fairs?

No, not a tunic like the Romans....Maybe I'm supposed to call them smocks??? I don't mean fluffy or frilly. Kinda like Indonesian I guess. Does that make sense?

I have made tunics for my son when he appeared in a play and for rennaissance fair. Is it sort of a costume like tunic you want ?

Hi Jinia, I was just wondering what you mean by tunic? Are you talking about tunics like the Romans wore or something else? I do sew but have never had a request for a tunic so I just wanted to clairfy you idea.

thanks, Rose
