Thought I would share with you a 'work in progress' pet portrait.

this one is in watercolor and is a lovely, sweet, yellow lab. The thing that is fun about portraits is once you 'get the eyes' you got it and the rest is icing. Hopefully I am heading in the right direction.

Sue...love the painting. It looks like my lab Wrangler. You are right, you've got the eyes. Can't wait to see it when its finished.
