Hello! My website is www.goodnaturedearthling.com

I am an herbalist/wildcrafter. I harvest plants in the wild and have local organic farmers grow for me to make truly natural herbal medicine and bath & body products. No synthetic scents/colors/preservatives.

I also teach herbal medicine programs and have 1 day workshops to 12 week apprenticeships.

Please check out my website. Thanks!

Today, a student and I harvested rosehips and blackberries. I'm going with a past student tomorrow picking hawthorne berries. This is my favorite time of year! Perfect harvesting weather.

The devil's club harvest went well. What a beautiful day for harvesting! Clear sky, warm. We went east of Darrington. The place I wanted to go to had a road washed out 7 miles before the location! So....we parked the car and started walking. We found quite a lot along the way, hiked down to a waterfall and just enjoyed the day together. We all were able to harvest what we needed. Yesterday I made soap and decanted the arnica oil. It is a beautiful yellow! The best arnica oil I've ever extracted. Today? More soapmaking to catch up. Next harvest will be Sitka valerian in a week and a half. Another opportunity to go high up in the mountains!

I don't, I'm sorry. I go 90 million miles an hour between my school, business and household. I just never have time to get to know or even hear about other herbalists unless they live in my area and even then...

My best friend is an herbalist and we've taught together many times over the years.

Do you have any food co ops in your area? You may try going there and asking. Herbalists tend to teach or advertise in co ops.

Hi Chelsey and Kay!
Chelsey, I swear I sent you a private email a while back. Maybe it just didn't get to you. I was saying hello to you seeing as we are practically neighbors. Kay, I live up in Skagit Valley. It's north of Seattle about an hour and 20 minutes.

Very true, by the way. My own mother died 3 years ago and I still need her.

Thanks ladies!! I have a good life all told. Tomorrow, I'm going up in the mountains with some of my students to harvest Devil's Club. Yesterday, I took a gal from church up another mountain and we picked arnica and pearly everlasting. Today, I made 50 pounds of soap.

Suzanne, I just left your site but not before saving it to my favorites. I am interested in herbs and especially what our grandparents & those before them knew about these plants and the healing factors. Your site is so very interesting and am sure is so full of knowledge. I am looking forward to taking more time and going back as I don't want to miss anything. So glad that you posted!!
