FANNY

FANNY is a first cuzin' twice removed to ZOE
and the two of them have often caused the hair on their
grannie's neck to rise with their antics!

They do so hope that when they go to separate homes
that their new momma's will let them write letters
to each other now and then.

FANNY wears a valentine red dress with checkered apron and pocket
(filled with BIG sunflower seeds) .. and a cute little sunflower and crow tag!

FANNY HAS BEEN LOVINGLY ADOPTED BY OUR VERY OWN MIZ REBEKA .. who loves a little mischief .. and has cookies waitin' for her on her arrival!

Isn't she adorable? We are eagerly awaiting little Fanny's arrival. My motto is, "the sassier the better!" so she'll fit right in here! Thank you, Sister Mercy, for taking such exceptional good care of these chillins.

debra .. i find the 'bodies' best stitched by machine if you want to pack them tightly .. however .. i have certainly SUCCESSFULLY hand-stitched dollies from beginning to end. and if you aren't making a whole bunch of them .. this might be the more charming way to go! do you have a pattern? i 'think' when i first joined the forum .. i gave a class on dolly-making .. all the directions should be here somewhere?? i'll see if i can find them in the archives for you.

and oh yes .. you can make wonderfully dollies from your heart. never, ever 'compare' .. there is just no such thing! you may see some dollies that you like more than others .. but that does not mean that they aren't all wonderful! i believe EVERY dolly finds a momma . i have never, ever made a dolly that didn't.

if you need any help whatsoever, just let me know .. and i'll try and 'talk' you through it.

sometime in the future, when i have (make) a little more time .. i'll sew up a bunch of dollie bodies and send them out for about $5. .. to help cover the fabric and postage .. for the gurlz that would like to stuff and dress them. be watchin' for that!

I am tempted to try my hand at making on for myself.. maybe this is a project I can do this weekend. Could I stitch her by hand? I could never compare to yours but it might give my mind a diversion this weekend- that I could surely use. :-)
