IMOGENE LUCILLE

SISTER MERCY'S FOUNDLIN' HOME
FOR RAG CHILLUN

here's nuther little one needin' a home!
Imogene Lucille is pure of spirit and kind of heart
and so hopes to be able to sing in a church choir someday!
She wears a sweet little 'homespun' check dress with pocket
and strippedy pantaloons!

IMOGENE LUCILLE
sweetly stitched mouth .. appliqued nose and olde button eyes.
She brings with her 'sunflower seeds' from Freedom Valley Farm ..
(tucked into her apron pocket) .. and some 'weeds' found out in the woods.

Her adoption fee is jus' only $20. plus $5. travellin' fees.
(Sister Frances Catherine will tuck in a little giftie for her to bring along to her
new momma too!)
jus' contact Sister Mercy if you'd like to bring her to your home.
she would make a dear little 'valentine' giftie!

i must tell you .. everytime sister frances catherine walks past little imogene lucille .. her little lips are moving and her hands are clasped .. sister listened very closely and this is what she heard:

"oh goodness oh golly ...
i'm hoping from above
someone will see me
and choose me to love"

thanks gurlfrenz .. it's funny .. i've taken lessons from the best dollmakers in the country .. but my heart and hands go right back to the little 'nostalgic' chilluns!!!

i hear singing on the hillside .. sooo .. i'm thinking that indeed there are more chilluns on their way.

truly, i believe that each and every one of them has a special 'message' to bring to the momma's they go live with .. even those that may not be our immediate favs!

soooooooo .. take another look (visit my SISTER MERCY'S gathering room (blog).

oh .. and that WONDERFUL hair comes from a VERY tattered antique woven rug that i bought for about $20. there are those light reds, blacks, browns and 'sandy blondes to choose from in this rug. imagine all the 'stories' that go into the vintage pieces on dollies! i usually try to tuck a little something 'olde' on each dolly. xo
