Sister Mercy's Foundlin' Home for Rag Chillun
gurlz .. this little one and two other friends showed up on the doorstoop here at Sister Mercy's this morning. Despite the cold weather .. they were sittin' and chattin' away when they were discovered by Sister Frances Catherine on her way out to feed the birds.
They've had a cuppa' hot chocolate, some gravy and biscuits and are tellin' their stories.
All have as their heart's desire .. a new momma and loving home!
ARABELLA LORLEENE - ADOPTED!
Arabella's sweet little dress has roses on it .. with a brown and white
checked neckline with matching apron and hairbows.
That dear little face has vintage buttons for eyes .. a patchwork nose and
sweetly stitched smile.
She brings with her a sack of little dried flowers she found hanging on the vines
this morning in the garden.
Arabella's adoption fee is only $20.
her travelling fees will be a little extra.
Please let Sister Mercy know if you can find a spot in your heart for her.
(and be watching for her two friends too!)

debi dear .. i think you must be starting your very own little rag doll orphanage! i 'think' i mailed you .. was it FOUR more? i 'think' it was you? gosh .. i jus' love that my little chilluns are finding homes all over the u.s.

I will adopt Little BETSY ROSE, if she has not been adopted yet...I can even pick her up when I come over to your gathering Valentine's weekend...if she can wait a while longer for me :-)

Little BETSY ROSE - ADOPTED!
the youngest and shortest, but not the 'least of them' ..
little Betsy Rose is such a shy, gentle little chile.
Her checked dress with striped pantaloons and apron ..
and a special little 'rose' given to her by her gran-mammy
(she tells) .. is lookin' for a home in time for valentine's day!
Betsy Rose has some more of that olde rag rug for hair .. antique button eyes, strippedy applique nose and little determined lips!
She, too is jus' $20 'doption fees and $5. travellin' fees.
She hopes to be sitting on someone's lap .. or shelf or fireplace mantelpiece beside a box of chocolates come february 14.

SISTER MERCY'S FOUNDLING HOME
FOR RAG CHILLUN
and here is little Wanda June .. a sweet countenance ..
she loves to read and do 'stitcheries'
(that is her very own pillow!
WANDA JUNE is dressed in shades of 'prim reds' .. she says
she in ready for valentine's day .. and is so hoping that
she will find someone to love her!
She carries 'pennies' in her pocket .. in case she finds a candy store nearby!
Her hair is strands of antique rag rug and a wonderful little vintage nose, olde button eyes
sweet smile and a 'tad' of 'rouge' on her cheeks.
Wanda June can be adopted for $20. (court costs for the adoption papers down ta' the Green County Courthouse) .. and her train fare is about $5.00.
Sister Mercy has promised (as always) all the chilluns a little extra 'gift' to bring to their new mommas.
