It is cold and rainy here, a truly miserable day. It would be so nice to see the sun. My husband runs a nursery so we had to move all of the plants inside last night because the little weatherman said there was a chance of snow. I was pooped when I got to bed.
I hope all of your girls in the northeast are okay and you Texas girls as well.
I think I will go and make some Lilac and Hyacinth candles. Even if the flowers won't make it through this weather I can at least pour and burn candles that smell like flowers.
Have a good one

What a difference a day or two makes!! It's 69 here this morning so I hurriedly threw open the windows and listened to outside! I'll have to turn on the air in a few hours but till then, welcome in outside!!!

We finally got a break in our smog-filled heat wave today. There was actually a COOL breeze! And we've had rain a bit over the last few days. And just now, we had the most amazing cotton-candy sunset I've seen in a long time. Not so bad! :-)

Um, in a word? HOT. Well, for me and for here it is. It's supposed to reach about 90 degrees today and be quite humid - a rather uncomfortable combination for me. I think I may be spending some time reading in my bedroom later today, as it's the one room we have a.c. in! ;-)

Hey, when it gets this hot we should all be making sun tea! We'll miss it in the winter! :-)

Hot and hazy, with a cloud of *SMOG* hanging over the city! Sometimes urban life is so... yucky!

It has been SO hot here..in the 90's for the past two weeks, and no end in sight. UGH! I live for dark..since it really cools off here...down in the 50's. I plan to put Christmas lights up in the "ceiling" of my little patio area out back so I can relax out there after dark this week! One nice thing...without any rain for awhile the moquitos are not as bad as usual. That is my silver lining part of the heat. Hard to find one for this cool weather lover..haha.

Wyoming was unseasonably warm, but Moscow feels pretty good. It isn't too hot, but not cold either. This evening was a little cloudy- It would be nice if it rained a little tonight but was sunny tomorrow.

It is very chilly here today. I know we live in a higher altitude, but this morning I put a sweater on to hang my laundry. And the wind is unbelievably strong. It's saving us on the air conditioning bill! Susan

Freezing, freezing, freezing!! My fingers are numb typing this - I keep having to correct spelling mistakes!
Unfortunately, we live in a house with no insulation (I said to hubby last night, at least we know definitely know the importance of thermal properties!) and nothing will warm it up!
It has been raining here non-stop for about five days, but today is not raining and it is windy, so I have finally emptied the washing basket!
Catherine said to me it would be good to be knitting in front of an open fire, but I just about have to have my hands in the fire to be warm enough for them to move!
I do love winter, but a cosy house would make it just a tad more enjoyable!!
Have fun in the sun over there, everyone!
Best wishes,
Jayne

We've had wonderful weather so far in Sacramento, CA, but I fear it is at an end! They predict 100 degrees by Thursday! I hate really hot weather ~ I keep thinking I will move when I retire to somewhere cooler.

We have been having unseasonably nice weather. Sometimes to the point of being chilly. Friday was very muggy. But today there's a nice breeze and sunshine. Perfect clothesline weather! Susan

Finally we got some sun today. It has been rainy and dreary since Monday afternoon. I am so glad because I needed to air out my featherbed!

looks like we are in for a dandy dandy strom, hot muggy, the winds are comming up and they say that big mess from the west is headed this way. I put a lot of my plants under the picnic table so they wouldn't take such a beating. So we shell see what happens. This one looks a little scary to me.

Very very muggy lots of rain and wind with the typhoon season around the conner is what is going on here in Okinawa... and then every now and again it will cool wayyyyy down and make the house chilly... so weird! I would raither have the snow, but maybe that is because I miss it so much and am homesick! I bet if I was there I would think there had been enough for the year! Well bundle down gals spring is bound to get here one way or another ( except for our farmgals downunder!)

Very cold for the last 10 days. In fact, we've had the coldest and longest winter in ages, setting record lows for 4-6 days at a time. So much for global warming

Rain, rain and more rain with a few sunbreaks is whats going on out here. I will NEVER complain after what's going on back east and in the south. 40degrees isn't cold compared to snow and wind. Marybeth

Woke up to a couple of inches of snow this morning Kathy!! We're expecting more over the next 24 hours, but I think I am far enough west I'll miss the worst of it.
Keep warm! :)
