Soooo cold out. I covered my rose bush and lilac bush and the wind blew the cover off my lilac bush. It had new blooms getting ready to sprout out. I hope it'll be ok. We're even supposed to get some flurries later. No accumulation but geeeeesh, SNOW????? And I was out on our boat a week ago. Or was it all just a dream???? Has spring been here? Hmmmmm I'm soooooo confused....

Cold here too! Not as cold as you all have of course. Kids were wearing shorts all last week & some of this week. It was 87 on Tuesday & today we woke up to 40. I tried to cover my peaches & nectarines, but it started to sprinkle & I was afraid it would break the branches. Hope those are ok since they were about the size of olives. I brought in my grapefruit tree & tomato plants so those are safe.

It's 25 here this morning, but feels like 11. You just gotta love the Midwest! It always plays games with spring. My perennials were doing beautifully until the freeze hit 4 days ago. I know they're hardy enough to shake it off, but it was still depressing to see them get zapped. Especially when they were doing so well. Oh well, some day spring will reappear, we just have to be patient!

even here in North Florida we usually get a freeze /cold snap right before Easter..I thought that we'd miss it this year..but it's right on track..down to 57 this morning and going to drop to about 40 tonight, then expected low of 31 tomorrow night..so..gotta go cover my plants too.
