Posted - Mar 24 2007 : 7:25:54 PM We are being slammed with mega buckets of rain here and Diane, I bet you are too. I hope not. The rivers are rising and the lower farmlands are already filling with water. It warmed up and the snow in the mountains started to melt which naturally makes the rivers rise. Marybeth

Posted - Mar 24 2007 : 8:42:32 PM I thought of you this afternoon Marybeth while I walked around outside. Lordy, I am SOOO sick of rain! Can one garden with a snorkle?? lol About that rice... So far the creek is okay believe it or not, it is running really high of course, but so far hasn't jumped the bank. If it doesn't stop it will though as the water table is right up with it. Fortunately we're not in an area where mountain melt off is a concern like on the upper island and lower mainland where I gather there are some big mudslides. Sure is squishy out there though. Our weather says only 40% chance of rain for tomorrow so hopefully it will recede a bit. How are you making out?? Ready for a ray or two of sunshine??? Di |
