I heard the weather predictions for New York and just wondered how those of you who live up there are doing?

I have some relatives who live in that snow belt area that just got walloped-Oswego area- my great aunt said they measured 70 inches of snow last time they went out. She might have gotten more by now. But, everyone she knows is fine- she said they've gotten used to a lot of snow over the years!

All of the East coast is supposed to get hit Tuesday night. Most of NY State will get anywhere's between 6 & 18 inches! Go out and get your soup supplies!

I live east of the the snow disaster. We have about an inch on the ground. I hear we are going to get hit tonight but I'll believe when I see it. By the way, I am NOT looking forward to snow. I want Spring!!!

The weather guy on the news last night said that Lake Erie is frozen up, so Jamestown will probably not be getting any more lake effect snow this season.

Can anybody tell me how the Jamestown area faired? My mom is from there, and I was back visiting in October. She was asking me if I could find out anything on the computer. I thought I'd try here....

Thanks anybody who can update me! Karin

Hi Kathy! Thanks for asking...the 7+ feet of snow is off the East end of Lake Ontario. So far no one has chimed in and said they live up there. There are a bunch of us in Western Ny, who don't have nearly that much, and there are girl that live toward NYC and I think they are in the clear too! It's just been cold!
