Is everyone ok? Still got power and heat I hope. Snow is normal for all of you but not this much at a time. Is there any hope of being dug out anytime soon? 62" just sounds so EXTREME! I hope you are all safe and sound, warm and keeping busy. Keep us posted! This NJ farmgirl is shivering in 3 degrees (last night) but we have NO snow!
Boo... but I don't want 62 inches!

with a happy heart

Amie, the news has been saying that the one thing they are consistently working on is clearing fire hydrants. So hopefully that won't be an issue for anyone else.

My parent's have a place up there and they called last night to say they were glad they were in Florida right now. So am I, so I don't have to worry.

My husband has a lot of relatives up there, and a good friend who moved up from Rochester a few years ago. I'd be more worried about the fire hydrants freezing than the snow itself. Last winter, one of my husband's cousins in Oswego lost his house in a fire because it took so long for the FD to find a working hydrant. Scary.

Where we are at we only have about 6 inches to a foot of snow...not big news. The 7 feet of snow is up north on the Eastern edge of Lake Ontario. I am not sure if there are any farm girls up there.

I heard it was up to 96' and will be over 100' after this weekend.

Stay warm.
