So much rain! I really don't like complaining about the rain because we were under drought conditions for so long. We really need the water but there's so much pouring down recently and for the rest of the week.

The farmyard is so yucky and muddy. Yesterday, one of my mud boots came off while I was walking to the goat pens. That boot just stuck in the mud and I walked right out of it. It happened so fast that I didn't have time to stop walking.....I stepped in the mud....white sock and all.

Didn't move to Houston until 2009 and didn't move to Kemah/El Lago area until 2011. It was hit really hard here during the Hurricane. I heard this apartment was really bad.

Amy, yes, I know where Kemah is. Depending on the traffic I can get there in 45 minutes or 1 1/2 hours....you know how the Houston traffic is. lol

How did you fare through Hurricane Ike? Several of my family members lived down in Crystal Beach, including my mom. Everything was wiped out. It was weird to go see where our house used to be and see only a broken slab. But, Praise God! everyone is ok and that's what counts the most.
