Posted - Oct 25 2012 : 6:46:53 PM We usually look for snow around Halloween... But today it was 82 degrees out. And next week, even as far inland as we are, we're expected to get hit by that nasty hurricane as it's coming up the coast. SUCH weird weather. I am in the mood for a little snow, to be honest, but I can wait. I just wish the weather were more "seasonal" than it is - even the poor birds are confused! Today a couple of birds were taking a bath in our pool! Just be safe girls and take a few precautions just in case. The weather men just really don't know what we should be expecting! Hugs - Nini

Posted - Oct 25 2012 : 5:47:57 PM We had our first snow of the season today in SE South Dakota. It is all gone now, though. I am thankful for any moisture before the ground actually freezes. Now the ground has a chance to swell up and fill in all those cracks that are going to kill our trees and break our foundations.

Posted - Oct 23 2012 : 10:27:54 AM Snow in Idaho? I didn't think it was cold enough out here to snow anywhere right now. We still have mild temps, in the 50's and 60's in Oregon. I have worked so hard on my harvest that I am actually looking forward to some down time when it chills off.

Posted - Oct 23 2012 : 07:37:11 AM I suppose it is fairly early for snow but I love, love, love the stuff and would give anything for a helping heap of it this year. Hope ya'll are stocked up though...it can be a hassle when you are not prepared for sure.

Posted - Oct 23 2012 : 07:24:24 AM Actually, the odd thing is, we had 100% chance of snow and absolutely nothing fell. So it's being somewhat cool and cloudy morning so far but no precipitation.

Posted - Oct 23 2012 : 07:02:25 AM Annika,
Hope your state is better prepared for an early snowstorm than ours was last year at Halloween. Stay warm and stock up!

Posted - Oct 22 2012 : 11:52:04 AM We are right with you. I am not excited about it. We did have a great outdoor day yesterday but tonight is not going to be much fun. ( we get your weather a few hours later than you do).

Posted - Oct 22 2012 : 11:03:09 AM I know Jonni! It's been hot and bone dry here with bad smoke from wild fires, then wet and foggy, now cold and windy with snow in the forecast! My sinuses are all whacky right now too

Posted - Oct 22 2012 : 10:28:33 AM Wow, that's a little early for me, but we have had snow on Halloween here, in Kentucky. This week, however, we are expecting highs of 85! That's weird to me, and it's no reason everyone's sinuses have been screwed up!
