Posted - Jul 15 2012 : 08:44:22 AM We finally got enough rain last night! Thank God! I went right out in it. Boy it felt good. I am so thankful and hope our garden starts producing more. Our peppers are so dinky right now.

Posted - Jul 16 2012 : 07:42:41 AM We got an inch of rain last Friday. First rain we had for over a month. All the grass is burned up and no one is getting any hay. I have to go out every morning and water what I can in the garden. Keep the soaker hose going at least 12 hours a day most days. We have not had rain since last Friday so today it is back to watering. I really am getting tired of this. I come in from watering tired and hot. Then try to get some canning done. Not going too well. Already planning next years garden. Going to leave out a bunch of stuff that I usually plant. BUT by next spring, I'll be gung HO. And hard to tell what all I'll plant.

Posted - Jul 15 2012 : 11:14:53 AM It looks like it may rain again, but you just never know anymore. Last year, we got way too much rain, and half the garden died. This year....not enough. Hmpf.
