We had some pretty harsh thunder storms here last night so I was pleasantly shocked when I stepped outside to look for damage & not only found none but discovered that for the first time in weeks it was brezzy & cool...The perfect day for alittle gardening.

I had been needing to get these tomatoes & bellpeppers in the ground for a couple of weeks. I also put in some sunflower, collard, marigold & bok choy seeds.

I also potted up a pleasing, pot of indoor plants to keep my spirits up when winter comes.

I was going to put these pretty, purple mexican heathers I got on sale at home depot in the ground around my mail box, but one had a tag saying they where annuals...I had thought they where perennials.
So, this weekend Iam going to pick up six pretty pots & keep these guys on my stairs where they've been doing a pretty good job of softing the area. I hoping if I bring them in in the winter they won't die. My mom has done this with her annuals & has keeps them going till the spring.

Thanks, Marly. Iam really proud of it seeing as how I didn't even think I was going to get around to an gardening this year. :)

Karen, I'll have to check a map for Meansville. What major city are you near?
CraftyStranger is in Macon which is also an hour or so away...We should start a Farmgirl chapter together. :)

Fran, I so agree the weather was wonderful today just hope it hangs around for awhile. I don't like our hot temps. You are not to far from me maybe an hour. The flowers and garden should enjoy these temps too.
