Posted - Jul 02 2012 : 05:48:11 AM We managed to survive the storms that passed around us last night. Most of the damage went north of us. We had several tornado warnings and lost power. Thankfully, my cell phone was charged so I can call the electric company and report our total power loss. Last year I put them in my contacts, so I could. When I called not one person had called it in. It only took 2 hours to get power again, but I think they are calling for more storms tonight. Anyone up at the Lake got more warnings than our area.

Posted - Jul 04 2012 : 1:32:34 PM It looks like SW Louisiana is about to get some thunder storms and rain. We do need the rain, especially for the plants and the gardens. Marly

Posted - Jul 04 2012 : 04:33:15 AM Now, the news is putting out wild fire warnings. We don't have wheat fields around us this year, but with the heat and the lack of rain, there is the possibility.
Scary part of the tornado warnings are, that we don't have a basement or a cellar.
