It is in the low 70's here in SW Louisiana. It is raining, gloomy looking, foggy, and humid.
I thought I would be able to work outside today. Oh well... I do plan to take a long walk; rain or not!

We have had a great deal of rain here in SoCal. Maybe this will be a good year and help with the drought situation that we always seem to have around here! Dry today, but expecting more tomorrow and Thursday.
Winter, here we come!

We got quite a bit of rain yesterday which gave our mountains some snow. I can't believe it's already time to start seeing snow. The cold is now setting in.

Wow! It's been a crazy few weeks here in Australia. 2 weeks ago, my parents' farm was hit with a mini tornado which blew down my Dad's large hay/machinery shed. Dad was in the shed at the time covering grain. He was quick-thinking & dived under the combine harvester as the shed collapsed around him. He was so fortunate not to be crushed. 2 grain silos blew off up the paddock, the water tank blew off the stand, and the grain bin which was holding 3 tonne of wheat was upended. There's a lot of cleaning up to do there now.
Then, this last weekend Esk was battered by a vicious hailstorm. We were flying back in to Brisbane from Perth & had quite a rough landing. I have never been so glad to have my feet back on solid ground. Our rental faired well, but the little house that we have a contract on was damaged (roof damage, sky lights shamed & the awning on the back porch was smashed). That gets complicated with insurance given that we had only just signed the contract officially on Friday.
Anyway, please excuse my absence from the forum recently. It's been a crazy busy time.
Prayers for the people of Haiti, Jamaica & Cuba though. They have certainly been dealing with a lot worse than us.

I'm visiting my sister in Wenatchee. The sun is trying to shine through all the smoke from forest fires, but the air quality is such that just being outside can cause coughing spells. If you have lung problems, breathing can be difficult. Looking for more clear skies on my trip to Pasco today.
