We have been getting some nice thunder storms and rains in the after noons. I am so happy. We have been so dry this summer. Hope Texas gets some also!

Sorry about the "Balance" Tag line. After reading the weather forum this summer, Mother Nature is definitely unbalanced !!

A Texas day could go thru rain, cold, hot, and snow in that order. Now we have only one daily special- desert.

We live in a little town. It has rained some in Texas. When a storm blows through here, it actually either splits and goes around us.. or makes a mad dash for one side or the county or the other. Leaving us -- you guessed -- high and dry. Farmers have sold off or butchered most of their cattle. Expect HIGH beef prices in the future.. What food supplies from the East and midwest are going to be limited due to your rains ladies??

"But in all things, let there be a balance. As all of nature if left to its own path will seek balance. So should we

We got loads of rain last Friday and now it's raining again. We don't need it and the animals are miserable. The well will be full, but the grounds here are flooding. Ugh. I sure hope it tapers off for us.

Woke up in the middle of the night to a loud rainstorm and I think I heard all my plants giggling happily. Ha Ha. It is still pouring this morning and everything looks much cleaner and greener.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

Raining again here too. I was just getting ready to go out and feed all the animals and milk the goats. But they ran back to the barn. So I will wait a bit and try later. I thought the weatherman said it was all gone. Oh well. We do need it too. But I pray that Texas gets some rain. We were really dry here with the brown crunchy grass and fields. And the trees were getting that dry look too. Then we had that 2 days of full rain and we are back to mowing again and everything's all green again. It was a little scary. Every time I smelled smoke I thought forest fires.

GrammyGoose, I hope some of that rain of yours does go down to Texas. It is strange how the weather works. 57" is a whole lotta water. Sounds like Seattle.

Oh, do I wish we could send some of our rain to all of you who need it. Our total rainfall this year to date is 57+ inches. We are to get another dousing starting today that could total 5", breaking the all time rainfall record for this area. We are expecting more flooding this weekend. The farmers in our area took a really hard hit the past 7 weeks with a hurricane and then the tropical storm that came through. It's just too darn wet here. I wish someone could invent a rain distribution system.
