I took Boxer for a walk this evening and it actually felt cool. What gives? Can it be the hot weather is finally over? There were kids out playing wiffle ball and a young mother pushing a stroller--and it felt good to be outside. It hasn't felt like this since sometime back in June. I can't remember a summer with such a long, unrelenting stretch of heat. But now it's...over? Or maybe I'm hallucinating because I've been sick for the past week. No--just checked the temp. and it's 68. Supposed to get down to 60 for a low, then only 82 tomorrow. I need to pinch myself--I'd forgotten how good cool feels.

Really hot here the past couple of days. Wish i could feel a cool breeze here. Maybe in the middle of October which is not that far off. Enjoy the cool breeze Prairie Hawk! I bet Boxer will like his cool walk abouts!

Last evening I was outside and smelled wood smoke and it was a little cool and it just had that fall feeling in the air! It was SO nice. And this morning it was nice too. I am loving this although it will probably not last long here. I just don't think I am ready for winter. Fall maybe, but not winter. But I will enjoy these few cool days while they last.

We ate outside for the first time this summer! It's either been 100 degrees and humid or horrible thunderstorms.
It was so nice to sit in the cool breeze and enjoy our BLT's!
I am looking forward to Autumn!

Sigh........It is so hot and humid now and everyday the forecast is exacting the same. Oh how I wish for some cool dry weather!!

Sure felt like autumn here today... Works for me!!! I'm sure the summer's not over yet, though - maybe this is just a little gift from above - a little reprieve to rejuvenate the soul... :) Enjoy the cool, Cindy! Hugs - Nini
