Posted - Jul 11 2011 : 10:05:48 AM here today. (Chicago area) We were lucky this time, no trees in our general area came down. Only branches. We also have power, our church and that neighborhood do not. Not good on the first day of VBS.
4 tomato plants were knocked down. I'm hoping that they didn't snap. One fell onto my patty pan squash and squashed it. I hope everything perks back up.

Posted - Jul 11 2011 : 11:21:08 AM We have had somw wild weather this summer in the Chiacoland area! I don't ever remember this many big storms! I was in Milwaukee this morning and came home to a big ol' mess in housing. Lots of trees down. We luckinly have power though. I guess it was out for a few hours, but we are lucky that base that it usually gets back on pretty quick. The surrounding areas aren't always so lucky.
