All the tornadoes were on April 27th. It rained about a week later. That's the last time it rained here. We need rain. The sky is very cloudy and it's thundering. I sure hope it rains. There is a chance of thunderstorms the rest of the week too. So maybe we might just get a little rain shower or two.

I was coming home yesterday from Tn. and about 15 miles from home I got about 15 raindrops on the windshield! I almost stopped just to see what it felt like. I have almost forgotten. I do believe if it rains that's where I'm going. Out in it.

Y'all lift up a little prayer for us, please!

My granddaughter's grandmother just called to see if we were alright down here. She said they just had really strong storms with winds up to 60mph. Trees down all over the roads and power out. I was out mowing when I looked to the west and saw awful black clouds coming this way really fast. So I ran out back to get my clothes in off the line and put the lamb in the stall. All we had was some strong winds and some rain. A little thunder here and there. But all done now. It was heading to Ringgold and some going to Atlanta I hope it's not too bad. My poor little grand was scared to death. Ever since that tornado she had been afraid of a little rain. I hope she gets over it soon. SHe says she's ok now.

Dust devils don't sound good at all. It's raining here again!!!! It felt so good out there this morning walking in it. Looks like it might set in and rain all day. I hear it again on the roof. Oh glorious rain!

We got a half inch this morning during a really nice, what the weathermen in our area call a "garden variety thunderstorm". A little lightening will help those tomatoes grow!! But it literally put a damper on the hay baling that was scheduled for today.

It rained for HOURS!!! It got cold too. I am SO glad we got some. I am so thankful. It might be awhile before we get some again, but I will remember this one. I can already see everything greening back up. I know my garden is happy right now.

Alee, yes, I have a barrel at the corner of the house with a downspout running into it. It fills up really fast. I should have more. I use the water alot. I hope yours isn't too bad there.

I am so glad you are getting the rain! We are buckling down the hatches for our next turn with the rain this evening and tomorrow. Enjoy that lovely rain, Kris!! Do you have rain barrels set up for when it rains so hard?

Yep, it started this afternoon. We got a little here. It poured in Ft. Oglethorpe. Then it headed this way. It's been raining now for a few hours. Along with the thunder and lightening of course. But I can almost hear everything outside saying "thank you". It was getting SO dry here. It had not rained here in over a month. Like 6 weeks to be exact. I was getting a little worried. But I am SO thankful for this rain. I will never say I have seen too much rain ever again. That was not a good thing to say.
