I agree with Connie. Our weather here right now is beautiful but I'm tired of storm stress. You can't turn on the TV without seeing somewhere overwhelmed with horrible weather. The pics of Joplin are heartbreaking. My DD, SIl and grandgirls live on NC farm and they have had tornado watchs and warnings all week. On this forum we hear from farmgirls all over who are dealing with this terrible weather. I am anxious about hurricane season here which starts Wed. Please know that all of you dealing with these tornados and flooding are being kept close with thought and prayer and heartfelt warm wishes. Joey

Seems we can't turn the TV on without seeing storm warnings and watches. We had limbs down and brief power outages durning the night. Thank goodness no real damage. So many trees have been weakened by the really bad storms we have trees that are still falling in the lesser storms now. Another really large oak fell 2 blocks over last night. Missed their house but squashed their car and van.
I don't know about you all but I am about tired of storm stress. I can only imagine what those in the places hardest hit are going through. I have never paid attention to the weather forecast. I figured the weather was the weather nothing I could do about it. These days I ask my sweetie at least once a day "Whats the forecast?" What I want to know is do I need to be worried today. I always check before bed. All of our storms have come at night this spring. I'd love to die in my sleep but not for many many years!

We had a busy day yesterday in the Kansas City area, I live south of there by maybe 30 miles and our sirens were going off for about 1 hour. We had a small funnel touch down and right back up. No damage, thank the Lord. But those in Sadilia had a F2. Joplin is still trying to search the the missing. It's been awhile since I remember having this many tornados. Praying for all that get in the line of these mystery and tricky storms.

Lots of rain and winds of 55 mph. A tornado reported in Greensburg (about 70) miles from us, in Indiana, and that storm continued into our area all night long. The tornado watch was in effect until 5 am, but the only damage we suffered was a branch from our tree in the street. Could have been so much worse!

I'm so upset over the folks in Joplim, MO and Oklahoma, Arkansas, etc...it just breaks my heart.

I'm in morgantown, just 15 minutes from martinsville. It was a horrible night, but our family made it. We lost power for a while, but the kids were ok with the generator and some dvds. I was terrified, but they just giggled their way through 'Robots', so I guess we had it really easy.

I haven't been out to survey the damage since it's still dark out. I didn't sleep very well, so I just got up to get some work done.

Thanks for the prayers ladies!
